This is a gorgeous time of year to be outside. The weather can be chilly but when the sun is shining it’s so beautiful on the beaches. And empty! So few people are around in the mornings that it makes it the best time of year for a location shoot. Bring your family along with some favourite clothes and come and climb on the rocks and play in the sand!

When Emilie was turning 8, she chose 5 of her most gorgeous friends, they got all decked out in their party finery and came along to the studio for the party.

If you come for your maternity shoot and let us know when you would like to book for your newborn shoot, you only pay for one studio session. Now – it’s not often possible to book an exact date for your newborn, but if you give us a good idea we can save and make time in the week after you are due. Newborn shoots are taken in the first 3-10 days, when they are still sleepy and snuggly.
I’m having such a great time going back through the shoots of last year. So many beautiful families and such lovely memories! Here’s a selection – if I have a spare minute I will get round to doing another for weddings and events, too…

It’s been a while since I posted a cake smash – and couldn’t resist this one. Freya loved playing in the studio and was soooo excited to see her gorgeous cake! This is such a fun way to celebrate a little one’s birthday and if you do it in advance of the big day, you can use the pictures for the party invitations, too!
